“Simply put, she is happy. She nearly always laughs or screams. I have never seen a baby happier than this one “said her mother. “She speaks a lot already. We haven’t really said anything, but she tells you how it is and she’s already starting to get sassy, so I think we’re going to have a lot on our hands “said Nicole.

The adoring mother acknowledged that Winry had a higher-than-average chance of developing melanoma but insisted that she closely checks her and takes precautions with caps and sunscreen. She stated that Winry’s mental health might be her biggest challenge in the upcoming years.

“Sadly, our main concern right now will probably just be with her mental health. People are curious about bullying and the kinds of experiences she may have had growing up. Since I hadn’t seen this before, I truly believe that a lot of that is ignorance.”

Before she held her daughter in her arms, she admitted that she had never seen a birthmark like Winry’s either.

“Though it doesn’t bother me that others haven’t noticed it, I do wish it were otherwise. The more you notice these differences, I really believe, the more normalized they will become and stay. This is a key factor in why we keep sharing.”
